GOAL
–To spend the weekend (from when we leave the city to when we leave the cabin) creating a collaborative, ambitious design project (IT WILL BE AWESOME)
–Family style; we will also be collaborating in cooking meals, etc
DATES
–Wed, March 19: Mandatory meeting before retreat to discuss final details, after our third review (leaving from Paul’s office, around 10:30 PM, location TBD)
–Fri, March 21: Meet at 6 PM at Sun’s place (155 East 23rd, bell #51, apt 211, above Housing Works) and leave NYC for Shawn’s log cabin, arrive around 10 to 11 PM
–Sat, March 22: Full day of making stuff!
–Sun, March 23: Leave cabin in the afternoon for NYC
COST
–Should not be more than $100/person including car rental, food, etc
LOCATION
–Shawn’s uncle’s log cabin, in the woods, south of Syracuse, about 4 hours from NYC (tentative)
TRANSPORTATION
–Shawn will see to renting a 15 person van (thanks Shawn!)
SUPPLIES
–Everyone brings their laptop if they have one, plus scanners & other art supplies
–Sleeping bags, etc can be dropped off at Sun’s place before that Friday
FOOD
–We will pick up initial supplies at the Associated on 23rd and 2nd (snacks for the road and food/drink for Friday night)
–Saturday morning, we will take a trip to the nearby village to obtain remaining food, etc
